Duties: Provides comprehensive individual counseling services to prospective homebuyers and existing homeowners. The counselor is also responsible for assessing those obstacles faced by the customer in pursuing his or her goal, and to develop a corrective action plan or “roadmap to success.” The Counselor’s ultimate role is to utilize tools related to budgeting, debt reduction, and credit re-building and consumer awareness to facilitate the customer’s progress toward the goal.
As a Foreclosure Specialist, Lisandra assists in the packaging and submission of Requests for Loan Modifications, aids in customer negotiation with loan servicers, and completes and submits applications for state and local rescue/assistance programs. Lisandra also prepares and submits requests for participation in the NJ Foreclosure Mediation Program, and attends mediation sessions with homeowners, aiding them in negotiations with servicers/attorneys. Reports to the Home Ownership Center Manager.
